Every now and again, we come face to face with some serious competitors in the market of audio and visual products, however, rather than focusing on the mass market KV2 Audio are entirely about their superior sound and build quality. The company originated from Czech Republic almost 10 years ago, and despite having a relatively small life span, have succeeded in impressing not only our engineers at AVM, but also many other clients due to their care and attention when crafting new and improved speaker system designs. So far our superior quality systems usually come from the likes of Void Acoustics and (the slightly cheaper) HK Audio systems, however KV2 Audio have marched their way to the top of our attention spans where new and improved sound systems go.

The staff at KV2 Audio have a genuine interest for their own products and go that extra level in order to achieve something that many other companies cannot match, and as a result we are proud to be helping spread the word and offer the KV2 Audio products to those interested in a new sound to their system.

KV2 Audio AIM

The aim at KV2 Audio is to continually develop technologies that eliminate harmonic distortions (usually picked up in electronic equipment causing impure signal qualities), and provide a true representation of the source meaning that they endeavour to recreate as close a natural signal as possible without additional colouration. Many studios may find their systems to be of value, however they are well known for their PA Systems and the impressive power and longevity they bring to the scene. KV2 Audio also pride themselves with the ability to somehow continually maintain as compact a system as possible whilst at the same time keeping way ahead of the game when it comes to power and clarity of their professional speaker systems.

KV2 Audio in the UK

At the current climate, KV2 Audio are a fairly new face to the UK and haven’t been introduced for long, therefore it may be that you are less aware of their legendary systems. Amazingly enough in the BPM Show of 2011, KV2 Audio won the “Sound Off” between other well known competition, seemingly coming out of nowhere, they took hold and stole the show with their unmatched quality in sound. This year, an extra effort has gone into building up the marketing and awareness of KV2 Audio, so hopefully the name will start to pop up more frequently amongst people in the industry.

SLA Super Live Audio Technology

For several years, KV2 has been in continual research of better ways to increase the technologies used within their systems and now SLA has come to light. SLA or Super Live Technology as it is known as allows for the highest possible dynamic ranges and total minimal loss of quality usually collected through the electronic audio signal chain process. KV2’s SLA standard reproduces extreme sound pressure levels in even the most compact of systems, allowing an even translation of sound to be achievable in large spaces. There are a number of factors that KV2 have identified that make up SLA and the resulting benefits it provides to the listener. These factors include electronic integrity (settling time), digital sampling rates, pulse response, dynamic range and acoustic system design.

At AVM we have heard all of their systems and can agree with the above statements regarding impressive quality. An interesting design approach incorporated in some of the speakers we found was a simple handle on top of the speakers, allowing them to be carried much easier than using the side handles typically found on most. Of course, the sizes are another factor, and there are many compact easier to set up systems which may look small, but they are anything but small when it comes to sound. Technology has improved so much in this day and age from some of these dedicated companies and if you are still using your old Peavey speakers, or your old JBL system, you might be hugely surprised when comparing a similar set up of KV2 Audio speakers against your existing ones.

KV2 Audio Delay Line Technology

Another crucial technology employed by KV2 experts is the DDT digital delay line technology which effectively allows you to reduce the feedback which may typically plague an engineer or none engineer wishing to use microphones, particularly if you are using condensers or many at once. Many of us have been in this unfortunate situation at some stage and it can be very unpleasant and look unprofessional. With KV2 Audio DDT, the high frequency drivers are set back inside the speakers further away from the bass driver. By doing so helps dramatically improve rogue feedback and to ensure the frequencies are passed to the listener at the correct times. A delay is set up between the sub output and the time it takes for the high frequencies to leave the front of the speaker port so that both the tweeter and sub drivers pass on their frequencies from the front of the speaker at the same time, but now with the addition of reduced feedback problems.

Super Live Audio or SLA as KV2 Audio like to refer to it as, is another series of technologies developed in-house to ensure dynamic and rich qualities in sound, while preventing signal losses as much as possible. KV2 Audio like to build their systems with the right technological approach from the ground up meaning that systems are never really improved on, but made to sound spot on before they ever make it to the market for sale.
