Overview of the Digital Hive

Digital Hive exists to hugely improve and automate the way music and audio management and distribution is carried out across your business. We make it very easy to manage and update your sound system(s), at the same time keeping you in complete control. The device is controlled entirely from your own computer utilizing our own included and dedicated software online. Just simply upload your own content and away you go.

The Digital Hive Itself

Physically, the device is little more than a black box which looks like a very small PC but contains its own dedicated hardware to do the job automatically. Automatic being the key word as you don't even need to do anything other than switch it on and leave it running when connected to your sound system.

Managing Playlists & Updating Music/Audio

In order to get sound playing through the Digital Hive, you simply install our included dedicated, user friendly software onto any PC connected to the internet and upload any music of your choice. This software supports playlist creation which can run continuously or can be made to run different playlists for different day and times. You can customise when you want something to be played, such as altering the music in a bar for example to switch to faster paced content after a specific time.

Advertising for Free

The great thing about this system is that it offers the ability to set up an advertising channel which can be used to play your own Adverts or Store Jingles at set specific times and intervals. For example every 15 minutes your system could play a simple 5 second jingle promoting your own business in-between songs. At the same time you have control of the main play list which can be changed or randomised at will, without ever affecting the placement of the advertisements and jingles. This allows you to set up the advertisements once and have them left in place while you continue to update and play around with the music playlist.

Split The Day into Different Playlists

From this research, we realised it was useful to allow each day to be flexible enough to allow for switching playlists depending on the time of day. Digital Hive features a split series of playlists which allow you to switch from one to another at set times. For example you could begin the morning with relaxing music and then allow the playlist to switch to another one by midday in order to speed up the pace, altering the mood. Later you could then return back to a relaxed atmosphere towards the late afternoon.
